Where do you visualize your character fitting in to the post-war wizarding world? What do they do?
Upon the death of her mother Hannah left Hogwarts for parts unknown. While the rest of her schoolmates were completing their 6th and 7th years Hannah and her father relocated to France in order to avoid the memories of her mother. While there Hannah completed her last two years of education at Beauxbatons. Now a fully qualified witch and a veteran of the final battle at Hogwarts, she has opted to return to her mother country and assist in the rebuilding of the government, though she is as yet unsure of what she wants to specifically do.

Does your character have any hopes, motivations, dreams or desires?
Hannah hopes to be able to reconnect with the friends she left behind when her father insisted that they move to France since she never really fit in well with the students of Beauxbatons. The loss of her mother has affected Hannah greatly, and she is no longer the shy and silly girl that Hogwarts knew. She dreams of becoming an important and public figure in the MoM who can speak out against injustice and evil before it costs more people their families. She’s a bit colder and a bit harder, but deep down still a hufflepuff who misses having friends around her.

What are some struggles your character might undergo?
Hannah returned at the end of the war to participate in the final battle, but managed to avoid all the terrible things going on at Hogwarts in that 7th year. She’s afraid that people may be bitter towards her for hiding away in France, or that her clan of Hufflepuff friends might have forgotten about her, since she hasn’t had a chance to speak with them since the battle was won. On top of all this, permanently relocating to England may reawaken memories of her mother’s violent death that she had thought she had suppressed.

What are any existing personal relationships that your character might have?
Hannah has always harbored a very very secret crush on George Weasley, but seeing as how she’s pretty sure he never knew she existed, it’s a moot point. She’s also looking forward to reuniting with her dear friend Ernie Macmillan.

What's a secret that your character has that he or she has never told anyone?
Her crush on George Weasley would definitely qualify. While hufflepuffs don’t have any particular problem with dating outside the house, they might have a problem with all the blatant rule-breaking and trouble the Weasley twins got up to, especially things like testing their products on firsties (where’s the loyalty in that?!). So Hannah has kept it to herself, laughing at his pranks on the inside while playing the perfect prefect on the outside.

Short third-person POV roleplaying sample:
Hannah Abbott walked slowly into the MoM clutching the folder that held her CV and resume tightly to her chest. Her mary janes clicked against the marble floors as she walked through the lobby, eyes widening as she took in her surroundings. She was so surprised at how much the Ministry had changed since she had last been there to visit her mum at work that she didn’t notice the person standing in front of her until she had walked right into them.

First-person POV journal entry:
The MoM is even worse than I thought! I went in today to submit my certificate of completion from Beauxbatons as well as my TIME scores (Très Important Magique Examen, or Very Important Magical Exam), the French equivalent of the NEWTs, and they hardly knew what to do with me! I was sent to three different people in the Improper Use of Magic Office AND the Department for International Magical Cooperation before finally speaking to someone who knew how to file my papers! Qu'un désordre!! It seems I have come back at just the right time!

Is there a canon dialogue you feel best represents your character? If so, what is it? Full text please.
I don’t think there is canon text to best represent Hannah as she is now. She’s gone through a lot of changes since she was last mentioned in canon and trying to sum up an 18 year old witch with text from her 15th or 16th year would be a bit unfair.
